I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.

I do ask that each player give me their best effort. Without it, they won't be successful and coaching will be difficult.

Best thing you can do is just play catch with your player - good quality time as well. Mix it up with some fly balls and grounders. Get them comfortable with the ball coming at them.
